Organisations
Here are some organisations with which I am or have been associated.
The Social Philosophy Workshop – a group of largely ex-NYCers (Eric Bayruns García, Daniel Brinkerhoff Young, César Cabezas, Megan Hyska, Annette Martín, Laura Martin, Phil Yaure), now organising workshops in social philosophy for early career folks at a university near you (if we can get the funding).
For The Many – a mid-Hudson Valley based community organization building grassroots power on local and state issues, including housing justice, climate justice and clean energy, incarceration, poverty, and affordable healthcare.
Chi Sau Club – where I used to train in Sydney.
Systema NYC – where I used to train, occasionally, in NYC.
Minorities And Philosophy – addresses structural injustices and barriers to equity in the philosophy profession.
Rethink – a student-led philosophy outreach program working with community organisations in the NYC area.
Center for New Narratives in Philosophy – promotes diversity in philosophy in practice and teaching.
The Osborne Association – works with people affected by the criminal justice system to reduce the damage caused by crime and incarceration.
Harlem Justice Community Program – works with young people who are or have been involved with the criminal justice system to gain education, work opportunities, and build community.
